Invitation for Consultancy and Collaborations with us !

Hello everyone,

This is an invitation for collaboration or consultancy with our Research Group at TIET, Patiala. Consultancy services help in transfer technology from laboratory to industry, benefitting the clients and society as a whole indirectly. We are always on the lookout for organizations, institutes, schools and individuals to partner with us on the Generation of Sign Language from Input Text developed at TIET, Patiala. We want to continue to make the project as accessible as possible to the right people, hence we are open to consultancy services to industry and other organizations in our respective field of expertise.

In past few years, during the development of the project we were contacted by some of the professionals who wanted the sign language generation project sculpted according to their own needs. We were able to cast their demands and requirements in form of personalized applications; if you are looking for something similar fill the google form at the end of page and allow us to serve you better.

Our Project team can provide you consultancy related to following tasks-

• Developing a sign language generation system for your preferred language: Our project at islfromtext.in supports Hindi and English text conversion, but if you want to customize it for some other languages such as Bengali, Marathi or any other Foreign/Indian language, whose parser is available with you then, we can surely help along.
• Getting some of the new words added to our existing dictionary: Currently, we have a support for 8000+ words of English and Hindi languages. If the currently vocabulary of the system doesn’t meet your demands, we could always add domain-respective words to our system.
• HamNoSys Generation or Training: Creating HamNoSys (Sign Language transcription system) for certain words is a tedious task, and we have mastered the art ! We are providing monthly and yearlong training for the HamNoSys development.
• Adding exclusive features to the Android app “Sanket”: Sign language is used extensively at many workplaces, and you might be looking for some additional features pertaining to your domain. Our android developers could make it feasible !
• Collaborative Research: If you are researching in the same domain, then surely our experience could be useful to your research. We invite collaborations from institutes or laboratories across world who are willing to partner with us on the Sign Language Project.
